I recently came across a color variation on the Bohne Indian Head character stein shown in the Beer Stein Library as Catalog #5228 or in Dr. Manusov's earlier book on page 125, figure 274. The face of the indian is exactly the same as the one we are all use to but the headdress on both the body of the stein and the lid is black with white trim around the edge of the feathers, that is, the opposite of what we normally find. The stein is unmarked but appears to be an authentic Bohne-Stahl and in mint condition except for two small well repaired chips in the head feathers. Has anybody seen this color variation before and what are you're thoughts on how it would effect value.
