My uncle-in-law, an old German fellow who grew up in Austin, TX, gave my husband this Villeroy & Boch stein when he died. I just saw it was one of your featured steins a couple of months back. I just have it sitting out on a bookshelf because I like the design, etc.; now it occurs to me that it might be valuable and perhaps I should put it out of the reach of my young children.
Does anyone here know what the value is of this V & B dwarf stein? I read the description on "Stein of the Month," but it didn't note value. My husband's great-grandfather also left him a stein, but it's much bigger and I can't really figure out its provenance (plus, it's got a crack).
Any and all info. appreciated!
