I located a stein for sale on a website that has as a pewter lid the image or reproduction of our family crest which is man with a hat holding a cup/goblet in his right hand and the shield shows an arm holding a goblet. The stein is called a "Crusader" stein. The website info does not know the history of the stein but says there is/was a Stauffer Pewter Co who may ahve had something to do with the design of the lid. Does anyone know of this Pewter co or the stein history? I know the crest and family goes back a long way and may have been involved in brewing, stein making, etc. Appreciate your help.
