I have been collecting blue and white dishes, vases, etc. for years. Yesterday I ran across a Gerz blue and white geometric design stein and fell in love with it. I had to have it for my collection. I did not buy it for its value but rather its beauty. However, it would be interesting to know if I got a good buy. There is a Gerz mark on the bottom with the number 1862. It has what looks to be a pewter lid with 95 percent zinn engraved on the bottom side of the lid, and is in mint condition. Absolutely no chips, cracks or scratches. Thank you in advance for any info or input about this stein.
