We will have a show and tell session at the April meeting. I encourage each of you to bring something to the meeting to talk about. You can bring as many items as you like. Please bring steins, stein related objects or other types of drinking vessels to the meeting for our discussion. The topic of the show and tell will be open, so any item that you care to bring to the meeting will be appropriate. If you have a stein that you have questions about, such as manufacturer, age, origin or value, bring it along to the meeting. Chances are good that some of our members will be able to answer your questions. We will also hold a White Elephant auction at the meeting. These auctions are always fun and the usual rules will apply. There are no rules, no consignment fees, no commissions and you can bid on your own item in order to protect the price.

Many thanks to Bruce and Joy Ehly for hosting the last meeting. It was a great meeting and well attended. A wonderful buffet lunch was served with plenty of refreshments. Our guest speaker, David Harr, gave a slide presentation on the design and production of his own contemporary clown steins. To everyone's surprise, David gave a second presentation on blown, cut and stained glass. The presentation was very informative, and David brought slides of several pieces from his own collection. It was an unexpected treat to all attending members.

The Lone Star Chapter welcomes our newest members, Donald & Sharon Edgar of Eufaula, OK, and Lloyd and Teresa Voges of Riesel, TX. We look forward to seeing you at the meetings.

I would like to take a brief moment to extend kudos to our own Dave Cantwell. Dave has openly given of his time and resources when called upon by both SCI and the Lone Star Chapter. He has been a friend and fellow collector that has always volunteered to help when he can. Not only is Dave a recognized Master Steinologist, he is SCI's choice as the "Chairman of the Master Steinologist Nominating Committee" for 2008, as well. Congratulations and thanks for all you do, Dave!
