Meeting Report – October 4 , 2009 - Orchard Vali Golf & Country Club

President Bill Hamer called the meeting to order at 12:45 pm.  Nine members were in attendance.  

Treasurer Ginger Hoeppner reported a current balance of  $ 1385.00 before payment for the October Luncheon.

OLD Business: President Hamer reported membership as status quo, also acknowledged the passing of Peter Payntar.

NEW Business: SCI potential member list ( 23 leads ) sent to president Hamer, he will contact all to join us at the next meeting.

Joe Georgianna suggested flyers to distribute to attract new members – it was noted that a flyer included in the previous “Stein Crier” could be used for that purpose. Perhaps contact Bob Lindstrom for additional copies. 

Ginger Hoeppner added distributing flyers to doctor offices, banks and antique shows; taking into consideration not all potential members collect ONLY beer steins. 

Members discussed holding meetings three times yearly. Dave Roberts made a motion to consider 3rd Sunday in April, 3rd Sunday in July and keeping the 1st Sunday in October. Will vote on the above at the April meeting. 

Doug Lane questioned whether we had a quorum to vote. Change may be required in by-laws to reflect the revision of meetings. 

President Bill Hamer discussed holding the annual “business” meeting in July. 

Nominating committee will be contacting members interested in holding office in the upcoming new administration. Expect a call from volunteer Barbara Zabinski. 

Meeting adjourned at 1:50 pm.
