Stein Collectors International

The Stein Reference is a research project undertaken by Chris Wheeler. It is updated and extended regularly, and  currently includes the following major sections:
  • Potters & Manufacturers of the 19th & 20th Centuries including brief details of each company's history
  • Distributors, Finishers, Decorators and Pewterers of the 19th & 20th Centuries, including brief details of each company's history
  • Artists & Designers/Modellers of the 19th & 20th Centuries, including information about marks and companies worked for

Your comments, observations and especially, any corrections, are solicited. You may send email to Chris Wheeler.

Version 7 of The Stein Reference is now available to download. Besides a lot more information being available, more importantly it has become the main navigation for Stein Marks. If you go to your chosen manufacturer, etc. in The Stein Reference, you have the facility to click ONCE to link to more information where available, or the relevant page in Stein Marks. Control F on your keyboard in The Stein Reference allows word searches on, for example Munich, which when coupled to Stein Marks would allow you to look at all suppliers marks in Munich. Of course, if you prefer, you can use www.steinmarks.co.uk as a stand-alone.

The Stein Reference is available in two different formats, depending on your software and your preferences for viewing. You must be a member of Stein Collectors International to access it.
